I'm a bachelor

DW took the two kids and went up to a camp for a couple of days, so I'm home alone.

With my newfound freedom, I am going to get a haircut after work, will likely eat out, and watch TV tonight (while doing laundry).

That is, unless someone wants to come over and party tonight. Any takers?

I'm also taking tomorrow off to go golfing (stoopid thunderstorms better stay away) with a couple friends I don't see often. I'm looking forward to it.

Finally, I was doing some internet vacation planning (it's our 10-year anniversary in October) and realized that I could get us a seven-day Caribbean cruise for $1,500. That includes air. For both of us -- as in $750 each. I think I'm going to book.

Hey, I'm a bachelor too! For a whole week! How about if I come party at your house tonight, then tomorrow, you come party at my house?

Ooooh, an East Coast peep meet. Woo Hoo!

I am very envious of you getting some time alone. I keep hoping that one day there will be some sort of father/son golfing or camping trip that gives me the whole house to myself for days.

enjoy--and enjoy that cruise!!

YMCA's Indian guides has programs for Dads and Sons. I think it's Indian Princesses for Dads and Daughters.

What I don't understand is you doing laundry while they're away.

You're going to book a vacation while your spouse is away? Brave man!

I say more golf, less laundry.

Do we all get to go on the cruise with you?

Yay! The party at Meemo's was a lot of fun, ladies! Wonder where Meemo was the whole time, though!

Sorry 'bout missing my own party. Being off work means I was offline and busy golfing :-)

DW and the kids came home last night. My golfing sucked, but I had fun.

MM & Nutz: My doorbell is broken. Sorry if you were standing outside waiting for me.

Kimmah: but how many trips have you made whilst leaving Mr. Kim at home?

Boo: I have to admit that DW doesn't get all of us out of the house for more than a few hours at a time. However, I do take the kids out several times per week for a walk (or to the mall) to give her a break of at least an hour or two.

Puffy: the laundry was for everybody, but a big part was for me. It's been ridculously hot here lately, so I run out of stuff very quickly.

Swami: I haven't booked the cruise yet (but will likely get things firmed up this weekend).

And Carey, you guys are more than welcome to come on the cruise. The more the merrier!

And MTW, one of the joys of blogland is that most parties end up being us and the ladies. I really don't mind :-)

Which cruise line are you going on? DH and I want to take a cruise for our 10th anniversary next year and we were looking at Carnival's Carribean cruises.
