We went to the hospital last night around 5 p.m. for DW to get assessed (she was having strong, but not consistent contractions).
5 hours later, we were looking at this:
Mommy and baby Sam are doing well. I'm heading back to the hospital now, and the grandparents will be bringing Meemette over to see her little brother for the first time this afternoon.
He weighed in at 7 lbs 13 oz. and 19.2". He's got big hands, and was born while the Raptors were playing, so I think he is obviously destined to be a professional basketball player.
Anyways, I have to run back to chaos. I''ll try to be back soon.

Story about my older DD's birth: she was born during game 6 of the NBA finals between the Lakers and the Pistons. The game was almost over and all the doctors were watching. It took the nurses two calls to get a doctor to come deliver my baby daughter! He was the one who drew the short straw.
