Well, I caved...

It looks like we're getting a..... minivan.

I think I'm going to struggle saying that like Fonzie used to have trouble saying he was sorry.

But being cheap overtook my hate of the minivan, and I couldn't pass up the deal on this one. It's an '06 Pontiac Montana that we're taking over the lease on.

The payments are dirt cheap, and I get to turn it in in a couple of years. So it's just a temporary thing. And the good thing about the Montana is that it at least kinda looks like an SUV. At least I keep telling myself that.

Minivans are so practical, Meemo. My T&C is very manoeverable and Tom has learned to love it, mostly because of how much stuff it can haul inside and hitched behind.

*looks down*

Hey! I've eaten at the Mandarin. I thought it was good but not particularly great.

When are you going to post the wet t-shirt picture? I know you didn't specify "wet", but speaking for all the women of blogland - that's what we want. :)

My condolences, Meemo. :-) Seriously, I'm sure it's fine. You'll only lose a few Hip Dude points for this. Your membership to the club will still remain in-tact.

What's the cruise countdown?

Swami: I keep forgetting to take the pic. DW might get suspicious of my motives if I ask her to take a pic of me in a wet t-shirt :-)

Kim: The cruise is one month from today.

I just found out though that I'm also heading to San Diego for a conference the second week of November. My travel itinerary is starting to rival yours ;-)

like Swami said, they are very practical. I'll have to look up what a Montana looks like because I'm not sure I have any idea.

{{hug}} just because

Okay, I looked up the Montana on cars.com and this was the first line in the description:

Pontiac calls the Montana SV6 a crossover mid-van that flaunts SUV-like styling cues.

What? Everyone else wanted to do it. I so had you pegged for a Pontiac Solstice.

Aw, trade it in for a convertible! Good luck with that conference in San Diego. I wonder if they'll change locations due to the fires. BYOM (Bring your own mask)

I actually love minivans. So much room. I googled your van and it's a very nice looking van.

Momma, I love that description. It makes me feel so much better.

Boo: Pbbbbbbbbbbttttt!

Of course, when we get the van, that means I'll be driving our Suzuki Aerio, which is yellow. Any advice for a guy driving a yellow car? FWIW, it is actually a car that looks good in yellow --- see here:

Bwahahaha! :D A minivan!

I always wanted a station wagon but ended up with an SUV.

Just make sure you carry the pink phone while driving the yellow car.

*snicker*

Momma, the pink phone? Did we really have to go there?

*bans momma from his blog*

And Mark, a station wagon? Like with the faux-wood panelling ala Clark Griswald in National Lampoon's Vacation?
