Not sure if anybody is still checking here...

I've been thinking about blogging quite a bit lately, but alas, just haven't gotten to it.

So here's a few small nutshell items for those who might pop by.

1) I didn't get the job (see below). But the guy who did (he came from Calgary) is great - we get along well, and he is helping me re-write my job description which will include a new title and raise in pay. So not all is lost.

2) Had a great trip to Florida for my conference back in November. Here's a pick of me, DW, and a couple friends with our rental car (and yes, it's a convertible):

3) I sent out my SS gift, but with this being my first time, I don't think I was secretive enough, or included enough -- I meant to send through a card, but forgot :-( I hope my giftee does enjoy the things I sent though.

4) DD was in her first ever Christmas concert recently for her pre-school. Isn't she adorable (she's in the middle in the plaid skirt)?

And not to be outdone, here is DS (who was observing the concert):

5) I had a good TV week last week. Nick and Starr won TAR. Nico won SYTYCD Canada. Then Bob wins Survivor. And then Michelle wins The Biggest Loser. That's an unprecedented 4/4 in reality series for people I wanted to win. Yay!

6) Speaking of TV, LOST starts soon. Woot!

7) There is way too much chocolate flowing into our office lately for the holidays. Wait, let me correct that. There is never too much chocolate, but there is lots of it around here.

8) I purchased some shoes the other day from DSW.com. Love 'em, and got a good deal on 'em. Any other good online retailers that you know of?

9) Just celebrated my 5-yr match with my Little Brother. He's in high-school now. *sniffle* It's incredible how quickly they grow up. *sniffle*

10) We're giving a lot of gifts (and asking others to "give" to us) charitable donations this year. One of our favourites is plancanada.ca, where you can buy everything from a pig for a family in Mozambique to the full immunization for a community in Bolivia. I love it!

You have the cutest kids in the world, Meemo!

1. Bummer.

2. Is that a LeCar or SmarteCar or whatever they are called? They're so tiny they make me giggle.

3. I'm sure you picked good stuff. Poutine mix? Tim Horton cups?

4. See opening statement: you have the cutest kids ever!

5. Yay on Nick & Star and Bob!!! I don't watch the other shows.

6. LOST schmost. Sorry.

7. The trick is to eat one piece and then pass it on. So hard to do!

8. I used to buy stuff from DSW! But not for a few years now.

9. I remember when you got your Little Brother! Has it really been 5 years!?! Wow.

10. I like the idea of giving to a group like that. I can't think of anything quite equivelent here in the US.

Merry Christmas to the Meemos!

Where's the rest of the car? *grin*

Swami, they're even cuter in person, if that's possible!

Sorry about the job.

Merry Christmas Meemos! *hugs*

Sorry about the promotion, but it looks like things are looking up. Yay for that.

Your kids are super duper adorable!

I just bought some shirts for Conner from Childrens Place and Old Navy on line. I have found the Old Navy site to be good about sale stuff. I once bought four pair of jeans for less than $10 for him.

I had to go with the on-line shopping because I got tired of looking for plain long-sleeved tees in the stores.

No Swami... it's a VW beetle. I had never driven one, so 5 days of novelty was enough for me (although having the convertible was nice in Tampa :-)

Nice, newsy update. Your children are beautiful. I love your son's dimples (and so will all the other girls).

Merry Christmas!

Good heavens, those kids are gorgeous!!! They look like stock 'typical canadian/american family' kids from central casting.

good to see things are going well, meemah!

*snort* Swami said "Le Car." I think they quit making those in like 1986.

Such adorable kiddo pics! Your son is a snappy dresser.

Glad the job is still ok, even if the promotion didn't come through. All in due time.

I thought I posted here already.

1. I'm sorry you didn't get the job but I'm glad it's going well!

2. That car is tiny!

3. I'm sure she does.

4. Your children are beautiful (as are their parents).

5. I was happy with the outcome of three of those four. (TAR, SYTYCD and BL)

6. I can't even get excited about Lost. That makes me sad.

7. We gave away a ton of chocolate. yay us!

8. I used to love DSW. I am off of my shoe kick these days so I have no retailers to suggest.

9. oh I know. I was just thinking about how old my nieces and nephews are getting. yikes.

10. I think charitable donations make wonderful gifts. I have a dear, dear friend who has made donations in my name to my favorite charities for a few years now.
